TASTING NOTES

A Chardonnay made with minimal influence from sustainably grown grapes on a deep volcanic clay, north facing slop in the heart of Matakana.

Aromas of sweet French oak, peaches, apricots, cloves and a touch of wood smoke with a full-bodied creamy texture and flavours of roasted stone fruit, apple and brazil nut with fine tannins and a lengthy finish.

Tangy wine with an initial hint of sweetness that is perfectly balanced by mouth-watering acidity, giving an attractive tension. Lime/citrus, mandarin blossom and a suggestion of oyster shell character. 2022–2026
